Sunday Doughnuts!
My first home attempt at making yeast doughnuts and they came out fairly successful! Super stoked on how they looked. I did a white icing, chocolate icing, glaze, powdered sugar holes and drizzled some chocolate icing on a few of the white & glaze doughnuts.
The doughnuts themselves were a bit chewy so I gotta play around with it a bit. The icings turned out awesome! I used the frosting recipe for the black n’ white cookies from the latest issue of Veg News Magazine. Had to add a lot of extra powdered sugar to it though to get the right color and thickness (thanks Cass for the suggestion). Still have a bit of a love / hate thing with glaze. I just can’t find one that I feel really works properly. Still need to play with that a bit.
